Job summary

The Queens Hotel in Leeds is seeking a proactive Conference and Banqueting Associate to support high-quality events. You will set up spaces, assist with food and beverage service, and ensure an exceptional guest experience during conferences, meetings, and banquets.

We offer a competitive hourly rate of £12.71, 28 days annual leave (rising to 33), hotel discounts, wellbeing support, and progression opportunities within Axiom Hospitality.

Qualifications

• Truly passionate about the Hospitality Industry.
• Conference and banqueting experience in a busy environment is preferred but not essential.
• Excellent personal presentation.
• Good understanding of food hygiene and health & safety procedures.
• Ability to function independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Enthusiastic team player with a flexible approach.

Responsibilities

• Setting up and breaking down event spaces according to client needs and hotel standards.
• Assisting with food and beverage service during conferences, banquets, and special events.
• Ensuring tables, buffets, and service areas are well-presented and maintained throughout events.
• Providing attentive and friendly service to guests, responding to their needs efficiently.
• Coordinating with the kitchen and service teams to ensure smooth service.
• Clearing tables and resetting spaces for upcoming functions.
• Upholding health, safety, and hygiene regulations in all food and beverage handling.
• Assisting with any additional event duties as required by the banqueting team.
