Job summary

The Queens Hotel in Leeds is seeking a Banquet Bar F&B Assistant to support the smooth operation of conferences, banquets and events with attentive food and beverage service. You will set up spaces and bars, serve drinks, maintain presentation, and ensure high standards while working flexible evenings, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a food and beverage, banquet, or bar role preferred.
• Strong customer service skills with a proactive and positive attitude.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced event environment.
• Knowledge of responsible alcohol service and basic bar operations is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Setting up and preparing banquet spaces and bars for events, ensuring all equipment and stock are ready for service
• Providing a high level of food and beverage service during banquets, conferences, weddings, and special events
• Preparing and serving drinks at the banquet bar while maintaining responsible alcohol service standards
• Ensuring all tables, buffets, and service areas are well-presented and replenished throughout events
• Engaging with guests in a professional and friendly manner, anticipating and responding to their needs
• Clearing tables, resetting banquet spaces, and assisting with post-event breakdown
• Upholding health, safety, and hygiene standards, ensuring all food and beverage handling complies with regulations
