Job summary

Balfour Beatty plc is seeking an experienced Managing Quantity Surveyor to join our Regional Building team in the West Midlands, Birmingham. This senior role drives commercial strategy, governance and value across the N1N2 project, leading a team of surveyors and collaborating with operations and leadership.

Ideal candidates are Chartered or working towards Chartership with RICS/CIOB/ICES, with a proven track record in large-scale Building/Infrastructure projects and a strong commitment to CPD

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying.
• Chartered member of RICS/CIOB/ICES preferred.
• Strong NEC contracts experience from procurement to final account.
• Experience leading commercial teams on large-scale Building/Infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead the commercial function on the N1N2 project with robust cost control and governance.
• Provide leadership to a team of Quantity Surveyors for delivery and development.
• Influence strategic decisions as a core member of the project leadership.
• Oversee NEC contract administration, changes, and compensation events.
• Lead procurement and supply chain management for best value.
