Job summary

JPMorganChase invites a Lead Software Engineer to shape cloud financial management technology. You will design and deliver trusted tech solutions in an agile setting, collaborating with diverse teams to align with business objectives, drive technical excellence, and foster innovation.

You will lead development of secure production code, review peers, and advocate for AI-assisted engineering practices that enhance quality, speed, and reliability across the platform.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and advanced applied experience.
• Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages, including Python or Java.
• Proficiency in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
• Practical cloud-native development experience.
• Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools with evaluation of AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
• Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows; securing inputs/outputs and resiliency considerations.
• Hands-on experience building and operating data pipelines in production environments.

Responsibilities

• Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine approaches.
• Develops secure, high-quality production code and reviews/debugs code written by others.
• Drives adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes, with standardized validation.
• Applies SDLC toolchain knowledge, including AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to improve automation value.
• Identifies opportunities to automate remediation of recurring issues to improve stability.
• Leads evaluation sessions with vendors, startups, and internal teams on architecture and applicability.
