Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to design and deliver trusted technology solutions in cloud financial management. You will work in an agile environment with diverse teams to support business objectives, driving technical excellence and operational stability.

You will mentor peers, promote secure coding practices, and lead adoption of AI-assisted development tools to improve quality, speed, and reliability across the SDLC.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering.
• Hands-on experience in system design, development, testing, and production stability.
• Proficient in Java, Python, Node.js, React, and SQL.
• Experience leading AI-assisted development and code review practices.
• Ability to validate AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
• Understanding of responsible AI usage and secure handling of data.
• Strong knowledge of the full SDLC.
• Expertise in agile practices, CI/CD, resiliency, and security.
• Deep knowledge of financial services IT systems.
• Practical cloud-native experience.

Responsibilities

• Execute creative software solutions, design, development, and troubleshooting.
• Develop secure production code and review others' code.
• Drive adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices with secure validation standards.
• Improve automation and tooling across the SDLC.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational stability.
• Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors and internal teams on architecture.
