Job summary

Stantec in the UK is seeking a Principal Process Engineer to lead clean water projects across treatment, resources and infrastructure. You’ll provide technical leadership from concept through delivery, steering process design, calculations and specifications while mentoring engineers.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical or Process Engineering or related discipline.
• Significant clean water or wastewater process engineering experience.
• Strong leadership across complex multidisciplinary projects.
• Experience developing and reviewing process calculations, mass balances and hydraulic assessments.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and delivery of clean water process engineering solutions across treatment, water resource and infrastructure projects.
• Develop and review process designs, calculations, mass balances, hydraulic assessments, treatment evaluations and technical specifications.
• Provide technical leadership on projects ensuring robust, practical, sustainable solutions.
• Support strategic water resource projects including water transfer, storage, recycling and resilience schemes.
• Contribute to optimisation of existing assets via investigations, performance assessments and pilot trials.
• Collaborate with civil, mechanical, electrical, environmental and hydraulic specialists to deliver integrated solutions.
• Mentor and develop engineers within the Process Engineering team.
• Collaborate with global teams, applying international experience to UK water challenges.
