Job summary

Stantec Consulting International Ltd. is seeking a Principal Process Engineer to join our growing Clean Water team in the UK, delivering leadership across a portfolio of water treatment projects and asset optimisation.

You’ll lead process design, mass balances, hydraulic assessments and pilot testing, collaborating with civil, mechanical and environmental specialists to provide robust, sustainable solutions for clients nationwide, from concept to delivery.

Qualifications

Degree in Chemical or Process engineering or equivalent.
Significant clean water or wastewater process experience.
Strong technical background in clean water treatment and design.
Experience developing process calculations, mass balances and hydraulic assessments.
Proven ability to lead across multidisciplinary projects.
Knowledge of UK water industry standards and practices.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
Experience mentoring engineers.

Responsibilities

Lead clean water process engineering solutions across projects.
Develop and review process designs, mass balances, hydraulic assessments and specs.
Provide technical leadership ensuring robust, practical and sustainable solutions.
Support strategic water resource projects including transfer, storage and recycling.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions.
Mentor and develop engineers within the Process Engineering team.
Engage with clients on bids, frameworks and opportunities.
Contribute to business plans and investment programmes.
