Job summary

Stantec is hiring a Principal Process Engineer in the UK to lead the design and delivery of clean water process engineering solutions. You’ll work on treatment, water resource and infrastructure projects across the UK, guiding technical teams and collaborating with clients to shape resilient water systems.

You will provide technical leadership, develop designs and calculations, and mentor engineers, with a focus on delivering practical, sustainable outcomes and contributing to business growth.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical or Process Engineering or related discipline.
• Significant clean water/wastewater process experience.
• Strong design & optimisation skills for water treatment.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary projects and client liaison.
• Mentoring and developing engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and delivery of clean water process engineering solutions across projects.
• Review process designs, mass balances, hydraulic assessments and technical specs.
• Provide technical leadership ensuring robust, sustainable solutions.
• Support strategic water resource and infrastructure projects.
• Collaborate with civil, mechanical, electrical, environmental and hydraulic teams.
• Mentor engineers within the Process Engineering team.
