Job summary

Stantec seeks a Principal Process Engineer for our growing Clean Water Practice across Manchester, Warrington, Redditch, and other UK locations. You will lead process design, delivery from concept to implementation, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide robust, sustainable solutions for water security.

You will mentor engineers, strengthen client relationships and contribute to bids and strategic programmes, using international knowledge to address UK water challenges with

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical or Process, or related discipline.
• Significant clean water or wastewater process experience.
• Strong design and optimization skills across treatment processes.
• Experience with process calculations, mass balances and hydraulic assessments.
• Proven technical leadership on multidisciplinary projects.
• Good knowledge of UK water industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and delivery of clean water process solutions.
• Develop and review process designs, calculations and specifications.
• Provide technical leadership ensuring robust, sustainable solutions.
• Support strategic water resource projects and long-term resilience.
• Contribute to optimization of existing assets via testing and evaluations.
• Collaborate with civil, mechanical, electrical, and environmental teams.
• Build client relationships and contribute to bids and frameworks.
• Mentor engineers and share best practices.
• Collaborate with global teams to apply international experience.
