Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Principal Process Engineer to lead clean water process design across treatment, water resources and infrastructure projects in the UK. You will provide technical leadership from concept through to implementation, collaborating with civil, mechanical and environmental specialists to deliver integrated solutions.

The role offers an opportunity to influence client outcomes, mentor engineers and contribute to bids and frameworks while helping secure resilient water supplies

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical or Process Engineering or related field.
• Significant clean water or wastewater process experience.
• Proven ability to lead complex multidisciplinary projects.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Chartered engineer status or actively working towards (Desirable).

Responsibilities

• Lead clean water process engineering across treatment, water resource and infrastructure projects.
• Develop and review process designs, mass balances, hydraulic assessments and technical specifications.
• Provide technical leadership ensuring robust, practical, sustainable solutions.
• Support strategic water resource projects: transfer, storage, recycling, resilience.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Mentor engineers and support capability development within the team.
• Engage clients and contribute to bids, frameworks and business development.
