Job summary

Markel International is seeking a senior analytics professional to own the Claims Analytics roadmap within the International Portfolio Analytics team. You will work directly with International Claims to build and test models, turning insights into practical tools that inform decisions across claims, underwriting and portfolio management.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in claims analytics and insurance analytics.
• Hands-on building and testing statistical or ML models in a commercial setting.
• Experience turning analytics into practical tools used by claims teams.

Responsibilities

• Own and develop the Claims Analytics roadmap with International Claims.
• Lead analytical work from data assessment to model building and testing.
• Strengthen data foundations by integrating claims, policy, exposure and finance data.
• Develop lifecycle analyses: forecasting, resource planning, triage, recoveries and performance.
• Turn insights into tools and recommendations used by claims and underwriting teams.
