Job summary

WSP is seeking a senior civil engineering lead in the Development Team to drive delivery from feasibility through construction across diverse land, property and infrastructure projects. You will provide drainage, flood risk, highways and utilities expertise, guiding a team and coordinating with internal and external professionals.

The role involves client engagement, design team collaboration and ensuring projects meet budget, programme and quality requirements while aiming for Chartered status

Qualifications

• Experience in highway design, drainage strategy and flood risk management.
• Ability to produce masterplans, site appraisals, technical reports and drawings.
• Familiarity with design codes and contract documentation preparation.
• Experience liaising with clients, authorities and design teams.
• Knowledge of planning, bidding and delivering projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day technical delivery of civil engineering consultancy services across project life cycle.
• Provide technical leadership in drainage, SuDS, and utilities for diverse developments.
• Lead multi-disciplinary projects and mentor junior staff.
• Engage with clients and stakeholders to secure approvals and maintain budgets.
• Ensure delivery on time, within budget and to quality standards.
