Job summary

WSP is seeking Development Infrastructure Engineers at all levels to support UK-wide projects in highways, drainage, and earthworks. You will work in a team to produce designs, drawings, and technical reports for masterplanning and planning applications.

Ideal candidates have a civil engineering degree with postgraduate experience and are progressing toward Chartered status. You will mentor junior staff and contribute to concept studies and delivery on multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Civil engineering degree or equivalent is required.
• Postgraduate experience in civil engineering is desired.
• Experience producing masterplans, site appraisals and planning-support reports.
• Ability to deliver highway design and drainage designs to relevant standards.
• Experience using Windes, PDS or Civils 3D for design work.
• Knowledge of DMRB, LA Highway and Water Authority design guides.

Responsibilities

• Produce designs and drawings for construction projects.
• Deliver technical reports for masterplanning and planning applications.
• Mentor and manage early career professionals on technical delivery.
• Provide day-to-day project management support for concept studies and strategies.
• Lead design work to enable planning applications or construction drawings.
