Job summary

WSP is seeking a Principal or Associate Director to lead drainage engineering within the South East UK. You will shape water, drainage and environmental solutions for major transport infrastructure projects and support clients across rail, highways, Local Authorities and aviation.

You will lead a team of drainage engineers, manage projects from concept to delivery, and ensure high technical standards, on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Chartered or Incorporated Engineer and/or degree qualified (role dependant)
• Extensive and proven experience in designing sustainable drainage solutions
• Knowledge of drainage design principles and infrastructure drainage solutions
• Experience in Civil 3D and/or Causeway Flow software/MicroDrainage
• Proven knowledge of UK Building Regulations, design standards and health & safety regulations
• Successful management of projects/programmes and teams to meet quality and commercial targets
• Technical experience in Highway/Rail/Airport drainage, asset management, foul water and sustainable drainage

Responsibilities

• Delivery of a wide variety of civil engineering projects including highway, rail, infrastructure and site development schemes
• Delivery of projects from concept through to completion with high technical standards, timeliness and commercial success
• Delivering drainage services for major transport and infrastructure projects in the UK
• Lead client relationships and attend progress meetings
• Manage a team of drainage engineers and support their development on projects
