Job summary

Strata Consulting Limited in Newcastle upon Tyne is seeking an Associate Civil Engineer / Team Leader to guide the infrastructure team and drive project delivery from feasibility to detailed design.

You will mentor engineers, manage highways and drainage schemes, and ensure high technical standards while coordinating with clients and authorities. Chartered status or progression is preferred, with a strong track record in the North East.

Qualifications

• Strong UK consultancy experience within development infrastructure.
• Experience delivering highways and drainage schemes.
• Experience managing teams and leading projects.
• Strong technical knowledge of S38, S278 and S104 approvals.
• Proficient with Civil 3D and drainage software.
• Confident client-facing and leadership skills.
• Chartered or working towards Chartership preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of infrastructure and development projects.
• Manage and mentor a team of Civil Engineers and Technicians.
• Deliver highways, drainage and earthworks design packages.
• Oversee Flood Risk Assessments and SuDS strategies.
• Coordinate with clients, architects, local authorities and external consultants.
• Support business development and client relationship management.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time and to a high technical standard.
