Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering and experience managing development projects.
• Chartered or Incorporated status is desirable.
• Broad project experience across civil disciplines including drainage, utilities and highways.
• Proven track record in project management and financial control.
• Commercial and strategic capability with ability to win new business.
• Strong leadership, mentoring and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to present, facilitate workshops and lead training sessions.
• Effective communication across the business and with external partners.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership to design teams on civil engineering projects in the UK and overseas.
• Act as Project Director or Project Manager, review and optimise solutions, coordinate multidisciplinary inputs.
• Manage project resources and oversee the local team.
• Agree fees and manage the commercial position of projects.
• Lead a culture of technical review and challenge.
• Develop client relationships and support sustainable, future-proof developments.
• Lead tenders and bids and supervise junior team members.
• Collaborate with Development team and cross-functional colleagues to achieve objectives.

BEng / BSc (Hon) in Civil Engineering or related qualification
