Job summary

Strata Construction Consulting UK Ltd is seeking a Senior/Principal Civil Engineer to bolster its Development Infrastructure team. The role is technically hands‑on with a focus on UK highways and infrastructure design, taking ownership of projects and delivering work independently rather than moving into a predominantly managerial role.

Location options include Lincoln, Nottingham, Peterborough or Manchester with a hybrid pattern of 2–3 days in the office.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Civil 3D and Causeway Flow with experience delivering S38/S278 schemes through to technical approval and construction.
• Flood risk or drainage modelling experience is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• S38 & S278 highway schemes development and delivery.
• Highway alignments, levels and detailed design responsibilities.
• Drainage and infrastructure design responsibilities.
• Technical drawings, calculations and supporting documentation.
• Liaison with Local Authorities and other approving bodies.
• Technical checking and review of designs.
• Taking ownership of projects with limited supervision.
