About the Role

M Group Rail and Aviation, part of MGroup Transport (Aviation), are seeking a talented Lead CAD Technician to join our Survey team supporting projects across the Southeast and Midlands, primarily based out of Heathrow Office. This role involves supporting our Aviation, Defence, and Adjacent Markets sectors, providing technical services to various construction disciplines during design and construction phases.

Responsibilities

1. Support the CAD Manager with technical expertise.
2. Assist the CAD team in creating drawings for civil and infrastructure projects.
3. Deliver high-standard CAD drawings, models, and reports to clients.
4. Ensure workflow efficiency and adherence to CAD standards, mentoring junior team members.

Candidate Requirements

• Expert user of Autodesk Suite, including 3D Modelling.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret technical drawings.
• Effective communication skills and team collaboration.
• Excellent data management and quality control skills.
• Ability to prepare comprehensive survey reports.
• Willingness to share knowledge and support team development.
• Full UK driving license and 5 years of traceable employment history.

Desirable Skills

• Understanding of PAS128 and other industry standards.
• Experience with GPR data analysis and point cloud processing.
• Knowledge of BIM practices.
• Experience in utilities, engineering, or aviation sectors.
