Job summary

Sandicliffe Ltd is seeking an Assistant Service Manager in Leicester to support the Service Manager in leading the service team and delivering exceptional customer experiences. The role focuses on driving departmental performance and maintaining high standards of operational efficiency.

You will motivate colleagues, manage customer expectations and help achieve department objectives through effective planning and leadership.

Qualifications

• Experience in automotive service or aftersales environment.
• Experience supervising, coaching or leading a team.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Strong organisational and problem solving abilities.
• Commercial awareness and understanding of performance targets.
• Confidence using dealer management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Positive, collaborative, solutions-focused approach.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Familiarity with RTC & Keyloop is desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

• Support the Service Manager with the daily operation of the service department.
• Lead, coach and develop Service Advisors and workshop support teams.
• Deliver an outstanding customer experience at every stage of the service journey.
• Monitor service department performance and KPIs.
• Assist with workload planning and workshop capacity management.
• Resolve customer queries and complaints professionally and efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, manufacturer standards, and health & safety requirements.
• Support departmental profitability through planning and customer retention initiatives.
• Build strong relationships with customers, colleagues and stakeholders.
