Job summary

Safran Landing Systems seeks an Assistant Principal Analysis Engineer at our Gloucester site. The role focuses on sizing and simulation of systems and mechanical parts within a hybrid work environment. You will apply FEA tools, static and fatigue analysis, and plan physical testing to support aerospace landing gear systems.

The position requires engineering qualifications and the ability to mentor peers while delivering high-quality analyses and reports in line with project timelines.

Qualifications

• Minimum of HNC/HND level, ideally BSc/MSc in an engineering discipline.
• Experience with recognised FEA software tools.
• Classical static and fatigue analysis experience.
• Experience with physical testing planning and designing.
• Ability to propose efficient pragmatic solutions to analytical problems.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Propose efficient solutions to design and analytical problems to achieve business objectives.
• Ensure technical quality of work package activities and mentor engineers as a technical focal.
• Check, approve technical deliverables and support new analysis methods and tools.
• Interfacing with Chief Engineers, Programmes, Test Engineering, Manufacturing, etc.
• Coach engineers in theoretical and practical best practices.
• Represent Safran LS as a technical focal and influence decisions with stakeholders.
• Produce high-quality technical reports within budget and deadlines.
• Mentor and develop less experienced engineers.
