Job summary

Safran Landing Systems is seeking an Assistant Principal Analysis Engineer in Gloucester. You will lead analytical solutions, mentor engineers and ensure technical quality across work packages, adopting new analysis methods and tools as needed.

The role requires experience with FEA, static and fatigue analyses, and planning physical testing, with a strong emphasis on collaboration with Chief Engineers, Programme teams, and manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Minimum of HNC/HND level, ideally BSc/MSc in an engineering discipline.
• Experience with recognised FEA software tools.
• Classical Static and Fatigue analysis experience.
• Experience with physical testing planning and designing.
• Ability to propose efficient pragmatic solutions to analytical problems.
• Ability to interpret data and events and look for appropriate solutions.

Responsibilities

• Propose efficient solutions to design and analytical problems to achieve business objectives.
• Ensure technical quality of Work package activities and act as an Analysis Technical Focal.
• Mentor and approve technical deliverables and support new analysis methods & tools.
• Interfacing with Chief Engineers, Programmes, Test Engineering, Manufacturing.
• Coach engineers in best practices and represent Safran LS as a technical focal.
• Produce high quality technical reports and analyses within budget and deadlines.
• Review, challenge and approve technical deliverables.
• Participate in technical audits & reviews.
• Support development and improvement of analysis methods and tools.
• Comply with industry standards, regulations & qualification requirements.
