Job summary

Safran Landing Systems in Gloucester is seeking a Senior Test Engineer to drive development and qualification testing from early planning through design, setup, execution and reporting. The role includes static, fatigue, endurance and environmental testing to support new landing gear technologies and ongoing in-service programs.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualification: HNC/HND or Degree in Mechanical/Engineering.
• Experience in structural strength, fatigue, endurance or environmental testing preferred.
• Ability to read technical drawings and test requirement documentation.

Responsibilities

• Deliver development and qualification tests from planning to design and setup of test solutions.
• Execute testing activities and produce final reports.
• Review test procedures and develop resource plans to meet objectives.
• Lead and coordinate test execution and operate data acquisition systems.
• Install and configure test instrumentation and calibrate transducers.
• Collaborate with customers, suppliers and stakeholders; ensure timely delivery.
