Job summary

Airbus Belfast Limited is seeking an experienced Lead Design Engineer to provide technical guidance across design engineering activities and support of manufacturing builds. You will lead specialist packages within Structures and Systems Installation, bridging design, feasibility and shop floor manufacturing for aerospace components.

You will mentor an engineering team, manage projects to schedule and budget, and ensure components meet customer specs and airworthiness regulatory standards while

Qualifications

Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace or Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.
Industry knowledge of airworthiness regulations (CAA/EASA/FAA).
Experience leading engineering teams on technical design packages.

Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership and mentorship across design engineering teams.
Lead specialist technical packages within Structures and/or Systems Installation.
Ensure design compliance with airworthiness standards and schedules.
Coordinate with customers, suppliers and cross‑functional teams on feasibility.
