Job summary

Airbus Belfast Limited is seeking a senior design engineering leader to guide a team through end-to-end aerospace projects. You will ensure compliance with design authority requirements and mentor IPT members to uplift engineering excellence across structures and systems installation packages.

You will lead, influence, and collaborate with senior leadership, customers, suppliers and Certification Authorities while driving delivery within schedule and budget constraints.

Qualifications

• A comprehensive combination of applied and theoretical knowledge of aircraft structures and systems.
• Thorough knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements, analysis methods, testing procedures and engineering processes.
• Candidates should have a degree and relevant design engineering experience with management responsibility or extensive design experience with leadership.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct line management, technical leadership, and mentoring to a team of design engineers.
• Take functional responsibility for projects, delivering within schedules, quality standards and budgets.
• Advise user departments across the design-to-manufacturing lifecycle to satisfy customer specs and airworthiness requirements.
• Conduct full project feasibility studies and coordinate activities with senior specialists, customers and suppliers.
