Job summary

Octane Recruitment Limited is recruiting for a Vehicle Technician/Van Technician in Derby. This role offers a £1,500 sign-on bonus and a Monday–Friday, 7:30am–4:30pm schedule with no weekends.

You will diagnose, repair and maintain light commercial vehicles, carrying out mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic work, with a pathway to Master Technician and ongoing development.

Qualifications

• NVQ/City & Guilds/IMI Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
• Minimum three years of workshop experience.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of Light Commercial Vehicles.
• Carry out mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic work.
• Complete routine servicing, inspections, and preventative maintenance.
• Prepare vehicles for MOT.
• Ensure all work meets safety and quality standards.
• Maintain accurate job cards and service documentation.
• Work collaboratively within a skilled workshop team.
