Job summary

Octane Recruitment Ltd is recruiting an experienced Vehicle Technician/Van Technician for a Derby workshop with a leading fleet organisation. This role offers progression, a supportive environment, and exposure to brands like Mercedes, Iveco, and Ford.

The successful candidate will perform diagnostics, servicing and maintenance, and prepare vehicles for MOT while ensuring high safety and quality standards. A generous benefits package plus a £1,500 sign-on bonus await the right person.

Qualifications

• NVQ / City & Guilds / IMI Level 3 required.
• Minimum three years’ workshop experience.
• Strong diagnostic and problem‑solving skills.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of Light Commercial Vehicles.
• Carry out mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic work.
• Complete routine servicing, inspections, and preventative maintenance.
• Prepare vehicles for MOT.
• Ensure all work meets safety and quality standards.
• Maintain accurate job cards and service documentation.
• Work collaboratively within a skilled workshop team.
