Job summary
Nexus Life Sciences in Leeds is seeking an MS Method Development Lead to drive development and validation of LCMSMS bioanalytical methods under GxP standards. This role combines technical leadership with hands-on method optimization and team mentoring.
You will oversee method development, validation, troubleshooting, and regulatory support, while managing the M&D & Validation team to ensure high quality, compliant workflows and cost-efficient lab operations.
Qualifications
- Degree in Biochemistry, Biomedical Science, or related field.
- 4+ years in a GxP laboratory with 2+ years in management.
- Experience with HPLC/UPLC/LCMSMS and chromatography data systems; GLP knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Lead method development and validation as SME for LCMSMS bioanalysis.
- Optimize extraction techniques, chromatography, and LC columns.
- Mentor the Method Development & Validation team.
- Ensure GLP, SOPs and regulatory guidelines compliance.
- Troubleshoot methods and drive improvements.
- Oversee cost control of lab operations and consumables.
- Write and approve Methods of Analysis; transfer validated methods.
- Support regulatory submissions and respond to regulatory queries.
- Conduct investigations, CAPAs, and continuous improvement.
