Job summary

Mars is recruiting a Laser Applications Engineer in Didcot. The role involves developing laser micromachining processes for customers and delivering production work using advanced laser systems spanning UV to IR wavelengths and femtosecond to nanosecond pulses.

The ideal candidate has a strong degree with hands-on laser experience and good IT skills, plus knowledge of optical systems and materials science. A rewarding benefits package is provided.

Qualifications

• Degree level in lasers, optical engineering, physics or engineering with hands-on experience
• Experience with laser micromachining is advantageous
• Knowledge of optical systems, materials science and metrology is desirable
• Good IT and computer skills are essential
