Job summary

MARS Recruitment is partnering with a Didcot-based laser systems leader to recruit a Laser Applications Engineer. You will develop laser micromachining processes for customers and run production work on state-of-the-art systems, with wavelengths from UV to IR and pulses ranging from femtoseconds to nanoseconds.

A degree or MSc in Lasers, Optical Engineering, Physics or Engineering is required, with practical laser experience and strong IT skills. Industrial experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree or MSc in Lasers, Optical Engineering, Physics or Engineering or equivalent
• Practical laser applications experience is advantageous
• Knowledge in laser micromachining, integration/test of complex laser systems, machine control software or programming, materials science, metrology, optics
• Strong IT skills
• Industrial experience preferred
