This is an exciting opportunity for you to be responsible for the expansion and management of our portfolio in East Sussex and Kent, involved in the full asset lifecycle from initial site identification, negotiation, and land/site acquisition. You will lead a professional team through the planning process to obtain necessary consents, support construction phases, and ongoing asset management. Developing relationships with landlords, tenants, local authorities, agents, and developers is key.

The role involves ownership of the full development and planning processes from concept to completion, requiring excellent communication and negotiation skills, multi-tasking ability, and meeting tight deadlines.

Note: This role will be called Senior Acquisitions Consultant internally.

What you'll do

• Identify, negotiate, and acquire freehold and leasehold deals to build new stores.
• Conduct site inspections, development appraisals, and manage due diligence on opportunities.
• Manage planning application lifecycle from submission to discharge of conditions.
• Lead expansion, relocation, and infrastructure improvement projects.
• Develop and maintain relationships with local authorities, agents, landlords, tenants, and developers.
• Drive the full development and planning process from concept to completion.
• Manage real estate assets of freehold and leasehold properties.

What you'll need

• Self-starting drive, proactive attitude.
• Degree-level education (minimum 2:2), relevant discipline preferred.
• Experience in retail acquisitions, land buying, commercial property, or town planning.
• MRICS qualification (ideally).
• Strong negotiation skills and network.
• Sound legal and commercial property knowledge.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Analytical mindset.
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Full driving license and ability to travel across the UK.
