This is an exciting opportunity for you to be responsible for the expansion and management of our portfolio in East Sussex and Kent, involved in the full asset lifecycle from site identification, negotiation, and land/site acquisition. You will lead a professional team through planning, obtaining consents, supporting construction, and ongoing asset management. Developing relationships with landlords, tenants, local authorities, agents, and developers is key.

You will own the full development and planning processes from concept to completion, requiring strong communication and negotiation skills, multi-tasking, and meeting tight deadlines. Note: This role is called Senior Acquisitions Consultant internally.

What you'll do

• Identify, negotiate, and acquire freehold and leasehold deals to build new stores.
• Conduct site inspections, development appraisals, and manage legal and planning due diligence.
• Manage planning application lifecycle from submission to consent and discharge of conditions.
• Lead expansion, relocation, and infrastructure projects.
• Develop and maintain relationships with authorities, agents, landlords, tenants, and developers.
• Drive the full development and planning process from concept to completion.
• Real estate management of freehold and leasehold assets.

What you'll need

• Self-motivated with a success-driven attitude.
• Degree-level education (minimum 2:2), relevant discipline preferred.
• Experience in retail acquisitions, land buying, commercial property, or town planning.
• MRICS qualification is preferred.
• Strong negotiation skills and a well-established network.
• Good legal and commercial property knowledge.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Analytical mindset.
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Full driving license and willingness to travel across the UK.
