This is an exciting opportunity for you to be responsible for the expansion and management of our portfolio in East Sussex and Kent. You will be involved in the full asset lifecycle, from site identification, negotiation, and land/site acquisition to leading a team through planning, construction, and ongoing asset management. Developing relationships with landlords, tenants, local authorities, agents, and developers is key.

The role involves ownership of development and planning processes from concept to completion, requiring excellent communication and negotiation skills, along with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Identify, negotiate, and acquire freehold and leasehold deals for new stores.
2. Conduct site inspections, development appraisals, and manage legal and planning due diligence.
3. Manage the planning application lifecycle from submission to discharge of conditions.
4. Lead expansion, relocation, and infrastructure improvement projects.
5. Develop and maintain relationships with authorities, landlords, tenants, and developers.
6. Drive development and planning from concept to completion.
7. Manage real estate assets.

Qualifications and Skills:

1. Self-motivated with a proactive attitude.
2. Degree-level education (minimum 2:2), preferably in a relevant field.
3. Experience in retail acquisitions, land buying, or commercial property.
4. MRICS qualification is preferred.
5. Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
6. Analytical mindset with the ability to handle multiple deadlines.
7. Proficient in Microsoft Office.
8. Full driving license and willingness to travel across the UK.
