Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a KS5 Tutor to support post-16 learners across West Sussex with personalised 1:1 tuition, helping them build confidence, strengthen subject knowledge and progress toward their educational goals.

You’ll work with learners studying A-Levels, BTECs, T-Levels or Functional Skills in Crawley, Worthing, Horsham, Chichester, Bognor Regis and Littlehampton. Start September with flexible hours and pay £25-£30 per hour.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in an educational setting (tutoring/teaching/learning support).
• Experience supporting learners at KS5/Post-16 level.
• Strong knowledge within your subject specialism.
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging, personalised sessions.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Driver preferred; travel to local West Sussex locations.

Support Post-16 Learners to Achieve Their Goals

We're looking for a KS5 Tutor to support young people across West Sussex through personalised 1:1 tuition.

Working on behalf of Local Authorities, you'll provide tailored support to learners studying at post-16 level, helping them build confidence, strengthen subject knowledge, and progress towards their educational goals. Learners may be preparing for A-Levels, vocational qualifications, Functional Skills, or other post-16 pathways and often benefit from a flexible approach tailored to their individual needs.

We're particularly interested in tutors who can support learners in:

• Crawley
• Worthing
• Horsham
• Chichester
• Bognor Regis
• LittlehamptonLocation: West Sussex

Pay Rate: £25-£30 per hour

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years' experience in an educational setting, including tutoring, teaching, teaching assistant, learning support, mentoring, or similar roles
• Experience supporting learners at KS5/Post-16 level
• Strong knowledge within your subject specialism
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging, personalised sessions
• Experience supporting learners with SEND, EHCPs, or additional needs is desirable
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Patient, adaptable, and learner-focused approach
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
• Driver preferred; alternatively, willingness to travel locally within West Sussex
