Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking an experienced A-Level Tutor to support young people across West Sussex with personalised 1:1 tuition and exam preparation.

You will work on behalf of Local Authorities, delivering tailored academic support in Crawley, Worthing, Horsham, Chichester, Bognor Regis and Littlehampton, with flexible hours and a September start.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in an educational setting, including tutoring, teaching, teaching assistant, learning support, mentoring, or similar roles
• Strong knowledge of one or more A-Level subjects
• Experience teaching or supporting post-16 learners
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging, personalised sessions
• Experience supporting learners with SEND, EHCPs, or additional needs is desirable
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Patient, adaptable, and learner-focused approach
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
• Driver preferred; alternatively, willingness to travel locally within West Sussex

Responsibilities

Support Students Through Advanced Study and Exam Preparation

We're looking for an experienced A-Level Tutor to support young people across West Sussex through personalised 1:1 tuition.

Working on behalf of Local Authorities, you'll provide tailored academic support to learners studying A-Level qualifications across a range of subjects. Many students require alternative educational provision and benefit from a flexible approach that helps them build confidence, strengthen subject knowledge, and achieve their academic goals.

We're particularly interested in tutors who can support learners in:

• Crawley
• Worthing
• Horsham
• Chichester
• Bognor Regis
