Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking an experienced A-Level Tutor to support students across West Sussex through personalised 1:1 tuition. You will work on behalf of Local Authorities, delivering tailored academic support to learners studying A-Level qualifications in multiple subjects.

We value candidates with strong communication and organisational skills, the ability to plan engaging sessions, and a learner-centered approach.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in an educational setting (tutoring, teaching, TA, mentoring, etc).
• Strong knowledge of one or more A-Level subjects.
• Experience teaching or supporting post-16 learners.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
• Driver preferred; willing to travel locally within West Sussex.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 A-Level tuition to students across West Sussex.
• Plan and deliver engaging, personalised sessions.
• Support learners with SEND, EHCPs, or additional needs where applicable.

A-Level Tutor

Support Students Through Advanced Study and Exam Preparation

We're looking for an experienced A-Level Tutor to support young people across West Sussex through personalised 1:1 tuition.

Working on behalf of Local Authorities, you'll provide tailored academic support to learners studying A-Level qualifications across a range of subjects. Many students require alternative educational provision and benefit from a flexible approach that helps them build confidence, strengthen subject knowledge, and achieve their academic goals.

We're particularly interested in tutors who can support learners in:

• Crawley
• Worthing
• Horsham
• Chichester
• Bognor Regis
• Littlehampton

Location: West Sussex

Level: A-Level

Start Date: September

Hours: Flexible

Pay Rate: 25- 30 per hour

Type: 1:1 Tuition

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years' experience in an educational setting, including tutoring, teaching, teaching assistant, learning support, mentoring, or similar roles
• Strong knowledge of one or more A-Level subjects
• Experience teaching or supporting post-16 learners
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging, personalised sessions
• Experience supporting learners with SEND, EHCPs, or additional needs is desirable

• Patient, adaptable, and learner-focused approach
