Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a KS1 & KS2 Tutor to support primary-aged children across West Sussex through tailored 1:1 tuition, working on behalf of Local Authorities.

The role focuses on developing core skills, building confidence, and encouraging positive engagement with learning. You will deliver personalised sessions in Crawley, Worthing, Horsham, Chichester, Bognor Regis, and Littlehampton.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' educational experience, tutoring, teaching or similar.
• Experience delivering KS1/KS2 curriculum content.
• Ability to deliver engaging and personalised learning sessions.
• Experience supporting children with SEND, EHCPs or additional needs desirable.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver personalised 1:1 tutoring to KS1/KS2 students.
• Adapt sessions to meet individual needs and SEND requirements.
• Coordinate with Local Authorities and schools as required.

Support Young Learners Through Personalised Education

We're looking for a KS1 & KS2 Tutor to support primary-aged children across West Sussex through tailored 1:1 tuition.

Working on behalf of Local Authorities, you'll provide personalised support to learners who require additional educational provision. Many of the children we work with benefit from a nurturing and engaging approach that helps develop core skills, build confidence, and encourage positive engagement with learning.

We're particularly interested in tutors who can support learners in:

• Crawley
• Worthing
• Horsham
• Chichester
• Bognor Regis
• LittlehamptonLocation: West Sussex

Key Stages: KS1 & KS2

Start Date: September

Hours: Flexible

Pay Rate: £25-£30 per hour

Type: 1:1 Tuition

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years' experience in an educational setting, including tutoring, teaching, teaching assistant, learning support, mentoring, or similar roles
• Experience supporting primary-aged children
• Good understanding of the KS1 and KS2 curriculum
• Ability to deliver engaging and personalised learning sessions
• Experience supporting children with SEND, EHCPs, or additional needs is desirable
• Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
• Patient, positive, and adaptable approach
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
• Driver preferred; alternatively, willingness to travel locally within West Sussex
