Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a KS1 & KS2 Tutor to provide personalised 1:1 tuition for primary learners across West Sussex, including Crawley, Worthing, Horsham and surrounding towns. This role supports learners through tailored education and close collaboration with Local Authorities.

You will work with children who have a range of needs, including SEND, ASD, and SEMH, delivering engaging sessions and adapting to each learner's pace and strengths.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in an educational setting.
• Experience supporting primary-aged children.
• Good understanding of the KS1 and KS2 curriculum.
• Ability to deliver engaging and personalised learning sessions.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
• Driver preferred; or willingness to travel locally within West Sussex.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalised 1:1 tuition to primary learners.
• Support delivery of KS1/KS2 curriculum in West Sussex.
• Support children with SEND or additional educational needs as required.

Support Young Learners Through Personalised Education

We're looking for a KS1 & KS2 Tutor to support primary-aged children across West Sussex through tailored 1:1 tuition.

Working on behalf of Local Authorities, you'll provide personalised support to learners who require additional educational provision. Many of the children we work with benefit from a nurturing and engaging approach that helps develop core skills, build confidence, and encourage positive engagement with learning.

We're particularly interested in tutors who can support learners in:

• Crawley
• Worthing
• Horsham
• Chichester
• Bognor Regis
• Littlehampton

Location: West Sussex

Key Stages: KS1 & KS2

Start Date: September

Hours: Flexible

Pay Rate: 25- 30 per hour

Type: 1:1 Tuition

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years' experience in an educational setting, including tutoring, teaching, teaching assistant, learning support, mentoring, or similar roles
• Experience supporting primary-aged children
• Good understanding of the KS1 and KS2 curriculum
• Ability to deliver engaging and personalised learning sessions
• Experience supporting children with SEND, EHCPs, or additional needs is desirable
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Patient, positive, and adaptable approach
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
• Driver preferred; alternatively, willingness to travel locally within West Sussex
