Job summary

Prospero Teaching in West Sussex is seeking a KS5 Tutor to support post-16 learners with personalised 1:1 tuition across West Sussex. Working on behalf of Local Authorities, you will help learners build confidence, strengthen subject knowledge, and progress towards their educational goals, with the flexibility to tailor sessions to individual needs.

You may teach towards A-Levels, vocational qualifications, Functional Skills or other post-16 pathways.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in an educational setting, including tutoring, teaching, teaching assistant, learning support, mentoring, or similar roles
• Experience supporting learners at KS5/Post-16 level
• Strong knowledge within your subject specialism
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging, personalised sessions
• Experience supporting learners with SEND, EHCPs, or additional needs is desirable
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Patient, adaptable, and learner-focused approach
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
• Driver preferred; alternatively, willingness to travel locally within West Sussex

Support Post-16 Learners to Achieve Their Goals

We're looking for a KS5 Tutor to support young people across West Sussex through personalised 1:1 tuition.

Working on behalf of Local Authorities, you'll provide tailored support to learners studying at post-16 level, helping them build confidence, strengthen subject knowledge, and progress towards their educational goals. Learners may be preparing for A-Levels, vocational qualifications, Functional Skills, or other post-16 pathways and often benefit from a flexible approach tailored to their individual needs.

We're particularly interested in tutors who can support learners in:

• Crawley
• Worthing
• Horsham
• Chichester
• Bognor Regis
• Littlehampton

Location: West Sussex

Key Stage: KS5

Start Date: September

Hours: Flexible

Pay Rate: 25- 30 per hour

Type: 1:1 Tuition
