Job summary

Premier Education Ltd is recruiting for a KS3 Teaching Assistant to support a neurodiverse pupil in a Bolton secondary school. The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, with an ongoing assignment until July 2027. The successful candidate will provide one-to-one support, keep the pupil engaged, and help them complete tasks with gentle prompts.

Lunch is provided daily by the school. The ideal candidate will hold a Level 2 TA qualification (or higher), have experience with SEND or neurodiversity,

Qualifications

• Must be patient, encouraging and able to support a pupil with focus and confidence.
• Experience supporting SEND or neurodiversity is desirable but not essential.
• Good spoken and written English; ability to build positive relationships with boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one support to a KS3 pupil.
• Help the pupil stay focused and engaged during lessons.
• Encourage the pupil to attempt and complete set work.
• Provide prompts, reassurance and guidance when needed.
• Support independence and avoid doing the work for them.
• Liaise with teaching and SEND staff to ensure consistent support.
• Provide wider classroom support when appropriate.
• Full-time, Monday to Friday.
