Job summary

Teaching Personnel Ltd. is recruiting for a KS2 Teaching Assistant at a welcoming Burnley primary school. You will support teachers across Years 3–6, helping pupils build confidence and reach their potential in daily lessons.

The role includes general classroom support, small-group work, English and Maths interventions, and assistance for pupils with SEND. A Teaching Assistant qualification or strong school-based experience is required, with a patient, nurturing approach and reliability.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils in KS2 is preferred.
• You will support Years 3–6 with English and Maths interventions.
• Experience with SEND pupils is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide general classroom support across KS2
• Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning
• Support pupils with English and Maths interventions
• Provide additional support for pupils with SEND
• Encourage positive behaviour, confidence and independence
• Help prepare classroom activities and learning resources
• Support children to remain engaged and make progress
• Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents
