Job summary

Teaching Personnel Ltd. is recruiting for a KS2 Teaching Assistant at a welcoming Burnley primary school. You will support teachers across Years 3–6, helping pupils build confidence and reach their potential in daily lessons.

We are recruiting for a supportive primary school in Burnley looking for a committed KS2 Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with junior-aged pupils and wants to make a real difference in the classroom.

The Role

As a KS2 Teaching Assistant, you may be supporting pupils across Years 3–6, working alongside the class teacher to:

• Provide general classroom support across KS2
• Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning
• Support pupils with English and Maths interventions
• Provide additional support for pupils with SEND
• Encourage positive behaviour, confidence and independence
• Help prepare classroom activities and learning resources
• Support children to remain engaged and make progress
• Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents

• Have previous experience working with children, ideally within a primary school
• Have experience supporting pupils in KS2
• Hold a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification, or have strong school-based experience
• Are confident supporting children with varying abilities and additional needs
• Have a positive, patient and nurturing approach
• Are reliable, enthusiastic and able to work well as part of a team
