Job summary

St Michael's Church of England Primary School, Winterbourne, is seeking a KS2 Teaching Assistant to support planning, delivery and resources for lessons, both whole-class and individual. The role includes pastoral support and helping track pupil progress with the class teacher.

The post is part-time, 8:30am–12:15pm, with a fixed-term contract. Applicants should have GCSEs including English and Maths and be familiar with the KS2 curriculum. Closing date 30 September 2026.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 GCSEs at C grade or above, including English and Maths.
• Knowledge of the KS2 curriculum.
• Experience supervising classes and assisting with lesson delivery to achieve positive outcomes.
• Strong written and verbal communication to work with teaching staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, preparation and delivery of lessons, for whole-class and individual learners.
• Prepare resources to support learning activities and pupil progress.
• Provide pastoral support and feedback to the class teacher on student progress.
