Job summary

Carmountside Primary Academy in Stoke-on-Trent is seeking a dedicated Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant to support our enthusiastic learners. The role involves working closely with teachers to deliver engaging lessons, provide individualised support, and foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Recognised Level 3 qualification in childcare.
• Experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting.
• Passion for education and helping children succeed.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, empathy, and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
• Basic knowledge of the Key Stage 2 curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and delivering lessons that cater to the diverse needs of pupils.
• Support pupils with their learning activities, ensuring they understand and complete tasks.
• Provide one-on-one or small group support to pupils who need extra help.
• Help manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Prepare and organise teaching materials and resources.
• Collaborate with teachers and other staff to monitor and assess pupil progress.
• Foster a safe and inclusive environment where every pupil feels valued.
