Job summary

Aspire People is recruiting a KS2 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the Druids Heath area from September 2026. The role is full-time and ongoing, supporting pupils across Key Stage 2 with a range of learning and behavioural needs.

Ideal candidates will have prior school or related experience, a patient and adaptable approach, and strong behaviour management skills. Commitment to Monday-Friday hours is essential, with qualifications being desirable but not essential.

Qualifications

  • Ability to support pupils with learning and behavioural needs.
  • Commitment to full-time, Monday–Friday hours.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
  • Delivering targeted interventions
  • Assisting the class teacher with classroom activities
  • Encouraging engagement and keeping children on task
  • Supporting children with behavioural and additional learning needs
  • Creating a positive and supportive learning environment
