Job summary

GSL Education Leicester is recruiting Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistants to support pupils across Years 3 to 6 in Leicestershire primary schools. You will work closely with teachers to boost learning, confidence and well-being.

This role offers competitive daily pay (£92-£99), flexible full- or part-time hours, long-term opportunities, and access to CPD courses. Weekly pay and supportive education consultants complete the package.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in a school, childcare, youth work or similar setting.
• Confident supporting learning within a classroom environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patient, enthusiastic and approachable.
• Positive and proactive attitude; safeguarding commitment.
• Passion for helping young people succeed.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils academically, socially, and emotionally.
• One-to-one and small group support in Years 3 to 6.
• Deliver literacy and numeracy interventions.
• Assist with lesson preparation and classroom activities.
• Encourage pupil engagement, confidence and independence.
• Support children with additional learning needs.
• Promote inclusive learning environments and monitor progress.
• Provide feedback to teaching staff and help pupils overcome barriers.
