Job summary

GSL Education in Leicester is actively recruiting enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants to support children with a range of needs across primary schools in Leicester and surrounding areas.

The role involves 1:1 and small group support, helping create an inclusive and engaging classroom, and assisting teachers with activities and behaviour management. Experience with SEN is valued, and a patient, adaptable approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people with SEN (in school, care or support roles)
• A patient, nurturing and adaptable approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Genuine passion for helping children reach their potential
• Relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with SEN across primary settings
• Work 1:1 with pupils or in small groups
• Help create an inclusive, engaging learning environment
• Assist the class teacher with behaviour management and activities
• Build strong relationships with pupils, staff and parents
