Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking a KS2 Teaching Assistant in Sunderland to support pupils across Years 3–6 with targeted 1:1 and small group interventions in Maths, English and other core subjects. The role focuses on building confidence, independence and academic progress while collaborating with teachers and SEN staff.

The ideal candidate will have KS2 knowledge, strong communication and a patient, adaptable approach.

Qualifications

• A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification desirable.
• Experience working with children in a UK primary school setting.
• Experience delivering 1:1 and small group interventions across KS2.
• A good understanding of the KS2 curriculum, particularly Maths and English.

Responsibilities

• Deliver targeted 1:1 and small group interventions across KS2.
• Support pupils in developing confidence, independence and academic abilities.
• Work across Years 3 to 6 to help pupils make progress in learning.
