Job summary

Academics Ltd in Warrington, Cheshire, invites applications for a Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated 1:1 support for pupils with additional learning needs in a local junior school.

The role is part-time (26 hours per week, 4 days, 8:30am - 3:30pm). You will work closely with pupils, supporting literacy and numeracy, small groups, pastoral care, and close collaboration with class teachers.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting Key Stage 2 pupils, including those with additional needs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with pupils, colleagues and parents.
• Demonstrates positive behaviour management and safeguarding practices.
• Willingness to participate in training to support vulnerable pupils.

Responsibilities

• Targeted 1:1 support for individual pupils to access the curriculum.
• Supervise and support small groups inside and outside the classroom.
• Provide pastoral care and lunchtime supervision as needed.
• Collaborate with class teachers to develop literacy and numeracy skills.
