Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status / QTS (ECTs welcome).

• Strong understanding of KS1 National Curriculum (phonics, literacy, numeracy).
• Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
• Ability to plan, deliver and assess engaging lessons.
• Positive, enthusiastic and adaptable approach to teaching.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging KS1 lessons across Years 1 and 2.
• Assess pupil progress and provide feedback.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment.

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream Primary School based in Durham, who are looking to appoint a dedicated KS1 Teacher. This is an exciting opportunity to support children during the early stages of their primary education, helping them develop confidence, independence and a love for learning.

The school is looking to take on a KS1 Teacher on a long-term basis, starting after October half term. The successful KS1 Teacher will be working across Years 1 and 2, planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum, assessing pupil progress and maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

The successful KS1 Teacher will have:

• Qualified Teacher Status / QTS (ECTs are also welcome to apply)
• Experience teaching within Key Stage 1 / KS1 in a UK primary school
• A strong understanding of the KS1 National Curriculum, including phonics, literacy and numeracy
• Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
• The ability to plan, deliver and assess engaging lessons that meet the needs of all learners
• A positive, enthusiastic and adaptable approach to teaching
