Job summary

TeacherActive is supporting a mainstream Primary School based in Durham to appoint a dedicated KS1 Teacher. You will work across Years 1 and 2, planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum, assessing pupil progress and maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

The successful KS1 Teacher will join on a long-term basis, starting after October half term, in an on-site role with a committed team and supportive consultants.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status / QTS (ECTs welcome to apply).
• Experience teaching KS1 in a UK primary school.
• Strong KS1 National Curriculum knowledge including phonics, literacy and numeracy.
• Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
• Ability to plan, deliver and assess engaging lessons for all learners.
• Positive, enthusiastic and adaptable approach to teaching.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging KS1 lessons across Years 1 and 2.
• Assess pupil progress and maintain an inclusive classroom environment.
• Deliver lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
• Create and adapt activities to meet diverse learner needs.

The successful KS1 Teacher will have
